Eco Pax Mundi Agora Planetary Politics
"Even if some future generation of [hu]mankind were to make, unanimously, a spiritual effort that would transfigure human society into a communion of saints, rest would not be one of the rewards of this spiritual achievement. Even in a saintly society the victory over self-centredness, collective and individual, would never be complete, and the effort would therefore have to be unremitting."
–Arnold J. Toynbee, A Study of History, 1972
Our Earth politics aim to be as widely encompassing as possible since Eco Pax Mundi Agora is intended as an umbrella organisation where the only requirement for membership is love for the whole of creation and a degree of commitment to better the fate of all the sacred forms that compose the mineral kingdom, the flora, the fauna (where we human beings are embedded) and all bodies of water, including rivers, lakes, seas and oceans.
In this comprehensive context, Eco Pax Mundi Agora welcomes with symmetric enthusiasm people of different shades of green: those who feel identified with the principles of sustainable development, those who rather called it sustainability, those holding an ecofeminist politics, and those eager to enforce an ecocentric worldview, to name only a few of the variants within the contemporary green movement.
On the other hand, Eco Pax Mundi Agora would like to exhibit to its adherents, the Eco Pax Mundi Agorians, how the agoras assist us in erecting post-ecocidal cultures of love and egoless action, advancing a planetary ethics and enforcing climate justice This is the section to learn about these intertwined pursuits.
